Temporary Holding Stations

Temporary Holding Station

If you find an injured or dead turtle in the Kingston area and you are unable to bring it to Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre, we have temporary holding stations whom would be happy to hold your turtle. These holding stations will temporarily look after the turtle while Turtles Kingston arranges its transportation to Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre.

NOTE: Kingston Regional Pet Hospital (yellow turtle dot) is the only temporary holding stations that is open after hours.

When dropping off a turtle remember:

  1. the temporary holding station must be open

  2. you must provide the exact location you found the turtle or it will have to be euthanized

  3. fill out the online intake form

NOTE: ALWAYS HAND THE INJURED TURTLE TO STAFF AT ONE OF THESE LOCATIONS. BE SURE TO PROVIDE THE EXACT LOCATION THE TURTLE WAS FOUND!
